Charges survive the merchandise credit
If your actual shipping is 4.99,tax 1.25 and other charges 0,the entered total after full merchandise credit is 6.24. These are user-entered example charges,not live fees or tax determinations for the selected stores. A promotion can have specific charge treatment;use the actual checkout lines rather than assume free merchandise means free receipt.
Unknown is not free
Blank shipping,tax or other charges withhold a full total. Enter zero only when confirmed. Invalid negative,excess-precision,exponent and over-limit amounts remain unresolved. A known merchandise subtotal can still be shown without inventing the rest of a checkout. No payment or personal address is requested.
A decimal edge example
An edited price of 0.10 with quantity 3 creates 0.30 merchandise. Exact 0.30 credit is allowed and 0.31 is not. Likewise 47.99 times 2 is 95.98.
